I am always seeking inspiration and education in my photographic journey. We often learn from the masters or follow well known photographers in order to understand, emulate, or incorporate their photographic style. I have often heard the name “Tillman Crane” but never researched him until today. I only got two blog posts into his site and found some very wise words regarding photography and dreaming big. Mr. Crane’s focus on long term projects demonstrates that to really know a subject requires time, energy, research, and expense. Dreaming of what is there and learning about the subject is what elevates one from a snap shooter to an Artist or at least takes one beyond the “I was there” mentality. I am beginning to feel it in my own North Georgia Waters project. Each new outing now offers excitement and lets me dream of discovering something that others do not see or even better, time to reflect inward. Please take a moment to read the brief article and be inspired by Mr. Crane’s wisdom and enjoy his work.
