I did a little experiment today. I bleached a test print and redeveloped it with Pyrocat HD just to see what would happen. It redeveloped to a nice neutral grey in about 7-8 minutes. Used roughly 10:10:1000 mix. I thought it might stain the paper but it did not seem to or was very subtle. The image was lacking in the highlights to begin with and 2nd pass did not do anything to make them worse. The shadows were more open and cleaner which may be due to the bleach and or the Pyrocat HD. I then tried to tone it in Nelsons Gold Toner at room temperature but that did nothing since it usually is used at 100+ degrees.
I also tried some toning using Himalayan salt, but nothing happened. Tried 2% solution for 30 minutes.
Had a little fun and got me back in the mode again. Now just waiting for weather to be decent when I have some time off.
