Dicks Creek Falls, also known as Waters Falls, is located at the cross roads between Dahlonega, Suches, and Blairsville in the Chestatee WMA at Turners corner. Just before taking the turn on HWY 19 at Turners corner, Dicks Creek road veers off to the left if traveling north. The road is paved until you get to the WMA but it is well packed with few ruts. The first parking area on the right is right beside the falls so no hiking required.

The Upper falls have some interesting twists and turns through the rocks and it was the fallen tree arch that drew me into this scene. Above the falls the creek is a calm meandering steam but once it hits the upper falls, it becomes a raging loud white water dance darting between cascades and shallow pools. It amazes me that fish can live in this turbid flow but I have seen them caught there. The upper rocks are also where the locals sun themselves while playing in the cool waters. It can get a bit crowded but is worth a visit to allow the sound of the water to soothe ones soul.

If you wish to purchase the upper and lower falls together I will print them to match tonality. I can also crop the lower falls image so that both images are horizontal formats in the same size.
