Canopy Amelia Island Florida

I captured this row of trees last September during my 30 year anniversary trip with my wife. We rented a condo with a beach view but had terrible rainy weather for the whole weekend. On the last day I managed to get out early in the morning and take a couple shots. This was along the main road in front of our condos and the sun was just bursting out of the clouds which created the flare in the upper left corner. Even with the sun coming out the meter reading to expose the trees was 15 seconds, which I doubled for reciprocity and incase the sun dropped back behind a cloud. I had forgotten my watch so had to count 30 Mississippis. This was also my first outing with my new tripod [ See FLM CP34 LFII review ]. It started pouring rain shortly after this shot so I threw a plastic bag over the camera and headed indoors.
